Growing up, I was the kid who never knew what I wanted to be. School didn't interest me much, but what did was experimenting with different hairstyles and makeup looks for everyone to see. When I finished school, I still didn't have a clear path in mind. I always thought living in a small country town would never give me the opportunity to become a makeup artist, and I wasn't keen on moving to the city.
In 2017, I decided to take a leap of faith and travel around America on my own for four months. While there, I saw the big Sephora and Mecca makeup stores that Australia didn't have yet, and I couldn't resist bringing back a suitcase full of makeup. That's when my makeup career began. I started working every Saturday painting someone's face, and from there, I grew my business to include hair styling and other beauty services too.
Now, I work full-time for myself, doing what I love most - making people look good and feel good. I'm so glad I pushed myself in 2017 to find the confidence I needed because I wouldn't be here today without it. It's amazing to be doing something I love every day, and I'm grateful to be able to share that with others.
